Estimating
Discounts and automatic customer discounts
On one estimate
Discount: choose % or $, type the amount, and add a label the customer will see (e.g. "Loyal customer").
Automatic discount (per customer)
On the customer (Edit Customer): Automatic discount — % or $, and a label (e.g. "Church discount"). While it's on, it fills in on every new estimate for that customer, so you don't have to remember it. You can still change it on the estimate.
Switch it off or back on right from the customer page (Turn Off / Turn On on the office web page, the Automatic discount switch in the app). Off keeps the amount and label, it just stops filling in on new estimates. Estimates already made keep what they have.
How it adds up
- Discounts come off the services and extra charges, not travel or sales tax.
- A discount and a promo code stack. Each is figured on the same amount, and together they never take more than that.
- The visit minimum still applies, so a discount never takes a job below it.
- The proposal shows each discount on its own line.
