Estimating
Add a customer
Everything about a building lives on its customer: contacts, entry, scans, photos, floor plans and estimates.
Add one
- On the Customers tab, tap +.
- Choose Residential or Commercial. This decides which rates apply.
- Enter the name and address. Use Current Location fills in the address when you're standing at the building.
- Commercial: pick the Business type (or describe it).
- Parking — where to park, loading dock, permits.
- Occupancy — vacant; residential rentals and move-in / move-out cleans.
- Entry Requirements — add every way in: key on file (tag #), key pickup, key left on site, garage code, lock box code, door code, someone meeting you. Codes are hidden until you tap them.
- Entry Notes — check-in steps, alarm instructions, who to ask for.
- Lead Source — how they found you.
- Rates — leave on Standard, or pick a contract rate set for this customer.
Billing and terms
- Billing — leave Bill to the site address on, or enter a different bill-to name (a management company) and billing address. It prints as Bill To on proposals and goes on QuickBooks invoices.
- Payment Terms — use the company's, or set this customer's own (Net 30…).
Contacts
Add contacts with name, role, phone and email, and mark who they are — one person can be all three:
- Decision maker — approves the work. Proposals are addressed to them.
- Billing contact — gets a copy of proposals, and invoices.
- Service / on-site contact — who techs call on service days.
Tap a contact to edit it; tap a phone number or email to call or write. The screen reminds you if a role is missing.
Find customers later
- Search by name, address, business type or notes.
- Filter Residential / Commercial.
- Archive customers you no longer serve (swipe left). They're hidden, not deleted — find them under Filter → Archived.
