Measuring & Field Work
Quick Area, lasers and typed measurements
Open a room (or Add Manually on the customer to create one).
Quick Area (tap the corners)
- Tap Quick Area (tap corners with the camera).
- Tap each floor corner on the screen, in order around the room (or aim the center dot at the corner and tap Add Corner). Corners and lines appear on the floor with a live square footage. If nothing happens, move the phone slowly for a moment so it can see the floor, then tap again.
- Tap Done. The floor area and its outline are saved.
Works for closets, halls, locker rooms and anywhere the full scan struggles. Best on LiDAR phones, but works on others.
Length × width
Measure Length × Width (laser or tape) — tap the laser button and press measure on your laser, or type the numbers. Feet as decimals: 12.5 = 12′ 6″.
Walls, counters and counts
Add Measurement for a Wall (length × height), Counter (length × depth), or Counted Items (lockers, chairs). Wall and counter lengths take a laser reading or a camera measurement.
Ceiling height
Scans read it automatically. Type a height if crown molding or soffits threw it off.
