Extra job while you're there

When a neighbor walks over and asks for their carpet too, you don't need the office.

Start it

1. On today's job sheet, tap Extra Job While I'm Here.
2. Type the customer's name and address (Use My Location fills the address), plus a phone or email for the invoice.
3. Tap Start the Extra Job.

Preflight checks three things first:

• it's a job you're on today: you tapped Start on it, or you're on its appointment;
• you're within a quarter mile of it;
• you haven't done 3 extra jobs in the last day.

Price it and do it

The estimate opens with your company's rates. Scan or measure, add the services, and adjust as needed. It never goes out as a proposal: there's no accept link and no follow-up.

Finish

Tap Job Done — Make the Invoice. If QuickBooks is connected, the invoice is made there. Either way, the owner and office get an email with what was done, the total, and how far it was from your job.

For owners

Settings → Team (app or office web page):

• Extra Jobs While There: on unless you turn it off.
• Extra Jobs Can Be Commercial: off unless you turn it on.

Extra jobs need Techs See Prices on, because techs price them with your rates. Every extra job shows a green note on the estimate on the office web page.
