Measuring & Field Work
Start here: field work
Techs and estimators measure buildings, take photos and leave notes. Everything you capture saves on your phone first and uploads when you have signal — you can work in a basement or a stairwell with no bars.
As a tech you can:
- See customers, entry instructions, codes, parking and floor plans.
- Scan rooms, measure by hand or with a laser, and mark surfaces and traffic.
- Take room photos and add notes.
Techs don't see prices, rates or estimates.
The usual order on site
- Open the customer. Check Entry and Parking.
- Scan Rooms (LiDAR), starting at the entrance — see Scanning rooms with LiDAR.
- Fix anything the scanner got wrong — see Floor surfaces: lines, areas and blanks.
- Take photos of stains, damage and traffic lanes — see Room photos and notes.
