Floor surfaces: lines, areas and blanks
Open a room → Floor Surfaces. Pinch to zoom; drag with Select to move around; Fit recenters.
The tools
| Tool | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Select | Tap a section to set its surface and traffic; tap a line or shape to edit or delete it. |
| Line | Draw where one surface meets another — straight or an L in one stroke. Ends snap to walls. |
| Area | Tap the corners of a space with a different surface (a carpeted office, a stair). |
| Box / Oval | Drag over a hearth, an inset rug, a stained patch. |
| Shade | Trace a traffic lane or stained area with your finger. |
| Blank | Drag over a space that isn't cleaned — open to below, a stairwell opening, fixed cabinets. Its square feet come off the room. |
| Shape | Fix the scanned outline: drag corners, tap + to add one, tap a corner to delete it, Straighten Edges, or Reset to Scan. |
Describe each surface
In Select, tap a section: surface (carpet, tile, LVP…), installation, manufacture (tufted, woven, needlepunch), pile, fiber, traffic and soil. These print on proposals and feed the recommended service plan — an area marked heavy traffic is never rated lower.
Lines: wall or floor change
New lines are Floor Change Only (dashed). Select a line and choose Wall if a real wall should show on the floor plan.
