Draft — last updated October 2026. To be reviewed by counsel before public release.

This is a plain-language draft so testers know how their data is handled. It isn't final legal advice.

Who we are

Preflight Cleaning Pro ("Preflight", "we") is made by DCAJ Enterprises LLC, an Idaho limited liability company doing business as Preflight Surface Consultants and Preflight Cleaning Pro, in Boise, Idaho. Contact: dave@davegrigsby.com.

What the app stores

Where it's kept

Data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Authentication and Cloud Functions) in the United States. Each company's data is separated and only its members can access it, according to their role.

Preflight support

Each company chooses what Preflight's support staff can do in its account (Settings → Team → Preflight Support): view and make changes, view only (the default), or no access. Support uses this to answer questions, fix problems and audit the service. Every support visit and change is logged, and the company's owners and admins can see that log. Support never sees a company's W-9 tax details (EIN and signature).

How it's used

To run the app for your company: measuring, estimating, proposals, online acceptance and, if you connect it, QuickBooks Online (we store connection tokens on our servers, never your QuickBooks password).

Improving the product

Only if your company chooses to share (Settings → Team → Data Sharing — off unless an owner or admin turns it on), we may use room scans, floor plans, photos and the kinds of work done — with customer names, addresses, contact details, notes and prices removed — to improve measuring and cleaning recommendations and to develop new features, including machine-learning models. Photos can show the inside of the buildings you clean, so only turn sharing on if your customers' agreements allow it. You can turn it off anytime; data already exported for research before then may still be used. We don't sell personal information or use it for advertising, and the app contains no ads or tracking.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that run the app (Google Firebase; Resend for email; Stripe for subscription billing; Intuit if you connect QuickBooks; Anthropic, if your company uses AI van checks, which receives the van photos to compare), when the law requires it, or with your company's consent.

Your choices

Security

Connections are encrypted, access is checked by role on our servers, and App Lock (Face ID or passcode) protects the app on your phone.

Children

The app is for businesses and isn't directed to children.

Changes

We'll post updates here and note the date at the top.

Security records and team activity

To protect companies' information, the app records when a team member takes a screenshot or records the screen (who, when, which screen and device type), when someone is removed from a team, and training progress. Company owners and admins can see these records for their own company; the owner may get an email about screenshots. We don't capture the screenshot itself.

Paying for Preflight

Subscriptions to Preflight are paid through Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's own pages; we never see or store the card number. Stripe tells us the plan, its status and renewal dates, and we keep Stripe's customer and subscription ids to look those up. Stripe handles the payment under its own privacy policy.

Payment details

We don't store card or bank account numbers. A company can note where a customer's payment details are kept (for example, in its payment processor) with the card brand, last four digits and expiration date only.
